bana（バナ）とは、南アフリカの言語であるセペディ語 ・ ソト語 ・ ツワナ語で「子どもたち」を意味します。
bana worldは、赤ちゃん動物たちの無邪気さと、そのまなざしが持つ優しさを大切にした世界です。

年齢も、国籍も、背景も関係ありません。
赤ちゃん動物のまなざしには、私たちみんなの心をそっとほぐしてくれる何かがあります。

bana means “children” in the South African languages of Sepedi, Sesotho and Tswana.
bana world is created around the innocence of baby animals and the warm gaze they carry in their eyes.

No matter your age, background or nationality, there is something universally touching about a baby animal’s eyes.

bana worldを作ったのは、南アフリカ出身のデザイナー、Lebo Tladiです。

1994年生まれ。幼い頃から自然や動物に囲まれて育ち、細部へのこだわりと観察眼を育んできました。

現在は日本在住。二つの世界を行き来する中で、動物こそが翻訳を必要としない言語だと気づきました。

プレトリアでも東京でも、赤ちゃん動物が心に与える温かさは変わらない。そう感じています。

bana world was created by Lebo Tladi, a designer born in South Africa in 1994.

Raised near the African bush, surrounded by nature and wildlife,
he developed a deep connection to animals and nature from a young age.

Today he lives in Japan, where bana world began to take shape.
Living between two worlds, he discovered that animals were the one language that needed no translation.

The warmth a baby animal stirs in you is the same in Pretoria as it is in Tokyo.
